Leo Igwe is a frequent contributor to The Skeptic magazine and International Humanist and Ethical Union’s Representative in West Africa. In his native Nigeria Leo has been at the forefront of campaigns against superstitious practices such as witch-hunting. He is also an advocate for civil rights. Leo and his family have been subjected to a sustained campaign of harassment by local police including multiple arrests on unsubstantiated charges. IHEU is seeking donations to its Human Rights Defense Fund to help Leo pay the substantial legal costs. For further information, go to http://www.iheu.org/help-defend-leo-igwe
